Sounds good - feels good! seminars for Scotland

HSE is running 2 half-day seminars in Perth on Wednesday and Thursday this week for Scottish employers on the implications for them of new legislation on noise and vibration.
Recent research estimates that as many as 170,000 people in the UK have damaged their hearing as a result of exposure to excessive noise at work. This can be everything from loss of hearing to a permanent sensation of noises or ringing in the ears, known as 'tinnitus'.
Hand Arm Vibration is also a major cause of occupational ill-health with an estimated 5 million workers at risk, particularly in industries using power tools such as engineering, construction, quarrying, ship building, and steel fabrication.
The seminars feature demonstrations of how easily hearing can drastically deteriorate over time following excessive exposure to noise plus information about recent innovative developments in the field of low-vibration equipment
