Slip resistance - software and meters put to the test

Evaluation of the Slips Assessment Tool (SAT) - analysis of user questionnaires - HSL/2006/76 - this downloadable computer software package used to assess the slip potential of pedestrian walkway surfaces was the subject of a questionnaire completed by users for the purpose of establishing its usefulness and as a source of information for improvements, the majority of the 101 respondents finding that the SAT was indeed useful.
Evaluation of the Kirchberg rolling slider and SlipAlert slip resistance meters - HSL/2006/65 - the weaknesses and strengths of these were ascertained and recommendations made concerning their use and improvement.
