Austrian worker found dead in hydraulic press
An Austrian worker was found dead yesterday in a hydraulic press at premises in Hall, 5 miles east of Innsbruck, the victim had been posted missing overnight.
The accident occurred late on Tuesday, CCTV revealed that the victim had been loading cardboard cartons into the press from the ground and had then stood on the edge to compress them with his foot, at which point he became drawn into the press.
He was drawn in so far that colleagues would have seen nothing after the compaction cycle was over, and assumed he had left the premises.
