Sailor dies at winter regatta on Lake Constance
A 43-year participant in the weekend's 3-day sailing event on Lake Constance was pulled injured out of the 9°C gelid water by fellow sailors in the winter sailing regatta, 'Regatta der Eisernen (for the most resolute)', around 1,000 sailors and 200 boats were participating in the event hosted on the first weekend of December for the last 31 years by the Segelvereinigung des Deutsch-Schweizerischen Motorbootclubs.
He later died in hospital in Constance, police confirmed he was sailing alone.
