Massachusetts train kills track workers in work zone
2 American track maintenance workers were killed when a Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad train was mistakenly routed into a work zone which had been correctly established in Woburn, several other workers were injured.
MCBR took over the railroad from Amtrak 4 years ago, concerns have been regularly expressed that safety liaison positions should be reinstated to Amtrak levels.
