Unregistered Canadian elevator contractors fined
2 contractors from Whitby, Ontario, have each been fined $3K after pleading guilty to performing a major alteration to an elevating device as unregistered contractors, contrary to Ontario Regulation 209/01 (Elevating Devices) under the Technical Standards and Safety Act 2000, the incident occurred at a 4-storey residential apartment block in Oshawa owned by Park Lane 11 Inc.
