Brazilian fire crews tackle complex recovery at collapsed metro site 17.01.07
Fire crews recovering bodies from the site of the excavation collapse on the metro line in Sao Paolo, Brazil, are proceeding with caution, wary of the risk of further subsidence in the area where a minibus fell into a major earthworks collapse.
The bodies of 2 women were found yesterday near Estacio Pinheiros and the Bombeiros de Regiao Metroploitana de Sao Paulo were progressing on 2 fronts, on the Avenida Faria tunnel and the Marginal Pinheiros tunnel where a driver's body is thought to be located, it was estimated that the minibus impacted 100 metres below ground level.
