Oil company's £0.4m fine for N Sea incident
Nexen Petroleum UK Ltd has been fined £0.4m in the circumstances of a hydrocarbon gas leak incident during September 2005 that was deemed by HSE and Aberdeen Sheriffs to have put it in breach of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974. The incident occurred on the Scott platform in the North Sea.
