Oil worker missing in sea as helicopter crashes near Malaysian rig 31.01.07
Malaysian rescue services were scouring the South China Sea yesterday near a Petronas oil platform, 50 miles off the town of Bintulu, southwest Sarawak, where a Super Puma L2 helicopter with 2 crew members and 8 passengers crashed shortly after take-off from the platform.
9 people were safely rescued from the sea, the helicopter operated by private company Malaysian Helicopter Services was travelling between rigs of the Petronas Malaysian oil firm.
