Alcohol and tyre infractions lead to fine and ban for German haulier 31.01.07
Swiss police in Bellinzona have banned a German haulage company and a driver from their road network after stopping the lorry as it travelled from southern Italy to Belgium and found the driver to have a blood alcohol reading of 2.79mg and the lorry to have worn tyres; a fine of 2,500 Swiss Francs (£1,068) has been administered.
