Vietnamese government committed to rail network upgrading
The collision of a bus and an express train in the Vietnamese province of Knanh Hoa, which left 12 passengers dead and scores injured, highlights the urgency of the government's desire to press forward with an upgrading of the rail network and a high-speed service, the latest incident occurred on a single-track stretch of one of Vietnam's principal rail arteries, largely unchanged from French colonial times.
