Snow accumulation collapses hotel room roof, 2 guests killed
Two Japanese hotel guests have died after the roof of a bathroom collapsed at the Shinodakan Inn in Oyija in Niigata prefecture.
the structure had been identified as having sustained partial damage in recent local earthquakes, it is understood that heavy snow had accumulated on the roof prior to its collapse, the proprietor's policy was to have such accumulations removed speedily.
