Fatality and serious accident at Port of Los Angeles
A fatal accident and a serious injury have been reported in separate incidents at the Pacific Maritime Association and Marine Terminals Corporation's Port of Los Angeles.
During the unloading of containers from a Panamanian-flagged container ship, Ever Deluxe, at Berth 228 on East Terminal Way, a 63-year old hatch manager was fatally crushed while supervising work on the cargo vessel; at APL terminal a foreman sustained a serious leg injury after being struck by a forklift truck.
