Connecticut worker electrocuted as lorry loading arm hits power cables
A worker has been electrocuted while attending an incident near the Waterbury reservoir on Route 109 in southwest Connecticut.
A lorry had shed its load of concreting formwork and had reversed into the reservoir entrance, the victim had been summoned by the vehicle owners, Messina Foundations, to attend the incident and assist with recovery of the load.
It is understood that he was replacing material on the rear of the lorry, which featured a loading arm, when the latter contacted overhead power cables.
