31 dead after service bus crash in Kashmir mountains
At least 31 bus passengers died when their vehicle left a mountainous stretch of road yesterday at Barmeen in the Kashmir and plunged several hundred feet into a gorge.
The service bus was travelling from Ghordi in the Himalayan foothills to Udhampur, 27 passengers are understood to have survived the incident of which, it has been speculated, overcrowding may have been a contributory factor.
