Safety couplers expansion programme on Indian Railways
Indian Railways has announced that new tightlock centre buffer couplers are being introduced as a design feature of Integral Coach Factory railway coaches, these devices are already a feature of German design rolling stock there and will prevent riding up of coaches in the event of collision involving multi-coach trains.
