Construction workers survive tower section fall in South Carolina
Two South Carolina construction workers were fortunate to survive the fall of a 7-metre section of steel tower during the erection of a 100-metre tall communications tower in a rural location in Lancaster County, southeast of Rock Hill.
Both men, employees of Sink Tower Erection Company who are subcontracted by Comporium Communications, sustained severe head injuries in the incident which occurred during the raising of the section using a mast hoist.
