Track maintenance worker killed in Swiss rail accident
Swiss Rail (SBB) was yesterday conducting an investigation into the fatal accident which occurred on the Bosberg line between Schinznach and Villnachern in the Allgau canton in which a track maintenance worker was killed. The victim was apparently on a materials wagon which began to roll out of control into the path of an oncoming goods train travelling from Luino to Basle, the ensuing collision led to the materials wagon being derailed and the victim pitched out with such force that his injuries proved fatal.
