Explosion in Brisbane gas works
A 10-metre tall gas cylinder exploded at the Murarrie gas works in east Brisbane on Saturday leading to a fire at the plant, staff acted quickly to close valves to isolate the incident and nitrogen was introduced as an inerting agent. One worker sustained facial injuries.
