Technician killed, colleague badly burned in Utah lab explosion
A lab explosion at ATK Thiokol, 25 miles north of Brigham City in Utah, killed one research technician and left another with severe burns.
The lab is situated at the north end of the 20K-acre site and operates under tight security, it is understood to involve the manufacture of rocket motors for the space industry and would almost certainly house explosive chemicals.
