5 washed out to sea in Durban baptism service 28.02.05
Five people were washed out to sea in heavy surf yesterday during a service of baptism by the Zion Christian Church on Durban's Suncoast beach.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight, at first it was feared that 7 worshippers were missing but 2 were rescued, although later on Sunday Nokia Rescue Services reported that prevailing sea conditions meant that it would be suspending its search operation.
