Cockling site inspection results in enforcement action
It is reported that the recent multi-agency exercise at Flookburgh, Morecambe Bay, resulted in the issue of 4 improvement notices by HSE inspectors.
The other participating agencies detained or questioned more than 30 persons, mainly for benefit fraud, vehicle offences and picking cockles without a license.
